Our Cultural Heart Phase 1, Huddersfield

We’re pleased to announce that we have been appointed to deliver the soft landscaping works for Our Cultural Heart Phase 1 in Huddersfield.

Awarded in December 2025, this contract sees us working in partnership with BAM, who are leading the first phase of Huddersfield’s landmark Cultural Heart regeneration scheme on behalf of Kirklees Council.

The Cultural Heart project represents a major investment in Huddersfield town centre, designed to revitalise the civic core, enhance public spaces and create a more attractive environment for residents, businesses and visitors. Phase 1 will help establish a high quality public realm that supports new cultural, leisure and commercial uses, forming a key part of the town’s long term regeneration strategy.

Our Scope of Works

Our team will deliver a comprehensive soft landscaping package, including:

• Supply and placement of high quality topsoil

• Semi mature and feature tree planting

• Ornamental shrub planting

• Ornamental grass planting

• Hedge planting across defined public spaces

  
  

These works will help define both the character and functionality of the new public spaces. Thoughtfully selected planting schemes will deliver year round visual interest while enhancing biodiversity and supporting long term sustainability.

Projects of this scale require close coordination and a collaborative approach at every stage. Working alongside BAM, our team will ensure the landscaping is carefully integrated with surrounding structures and public realm works as the scheme progresses.
